I know I'm kind of cheating by posting two photos of the day... but once again, I make the rules around here. (ya hear that cold? go away!) ... Anyways, this is our pheasant, he lives in some trees behind our backyard and visits the house once in a while. Usually he's pretty shy, but with the glass of the basement window between us he let me get really close, like... 6 or 7ft away! He's a beautiful bird up close, as you can probably tell. The second photo I was just proud of because he's moving and I did a fair job of panning with him... well, enjoy Sat. everyone!

ReplyDeleteI really like the second one; the fact that you captured the motion and yet kept the bird in focus is quite excellent. Love the colors in both.
ReplyDeletebirds have such an "intelligent" expression (wink, wink). Their eyes make them look like everything surprises them.
