Black and White is to photography as Poetry is to literature. To write in black and white, you must know exactly what you want to say because what most people do in a hundred pages you must do in one paragraph. Without color to hide behind, black and white photographs are all about light, patterns, texture, depth… the elements that make a photograph speak. -Alex Mageno
