I love the fog! Granted, it can be exciting to drive in, and easy to get lost in... and most the time its not all the great for taking pictures in, but still... its so cool! I like the way it makes everything fade out, because this background can be pretty boring, but now that its gone, who cares? I think what I like most about this picture is the line that the shore makes and the way my eye travels along it.
I like trees in the fog as well... trees are kind of mysterious to me. I always think about how many things they've seen, the people, the weather, the thousand of sunrises... In the fog I find them even more mysterious.
I agree with the line comment. In my art history classes we discussed the importance of giving the eye a direction. It is wonderful to add the fog because the eye has a direction but the end is unclear. Very good picture.
